Mass Effect 3 isn't all about saving the galaxy. It's also a story of camaraderie and adventure. If it had a slight change in aesthetic, you could even rename it Shepard and Friends: Friendship is Magic.
Just picture it: a group of space-faring adventurers coming together to save the galaxy from an ancient evil known as the Reapers, and along the way they solve puzzles, do fetch quests, and help cute alien races like the Volus and the Elcor with their trifles.
While this will probably never happen, we can always settle for the next best thing: banter between friends. One of the biggest reasons anyone plays a BioWare game is for their well-written characters.
