Sleeping Dogs Secrets: Health Shrines, Jade Statues, Lockboxes & Security Cameras

August 26, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Sleeping Dogs offers a world full of things to discover through exploration. Here’s a few tips to get you started.

Call them sandbox games, open world games, GTA-likes, or whatever you prefer, but the one thing these games all have in common (despite whatever ancillary differences they may have) is their ability to reward explorers for what explorers do best. Exploration—or walking off the beaten path set by the game developers—allows players in these games to discover and uncover hidden treasures and other bits of content.

With that in mind, we've put together this guide to help you find all the hidden items in the game—including Jade Statues, Healing Shrines, Lockboxes, and Security Cameras.

Health Shrines

At some point early in the game—after the 2nd Popstar mission—you'll run into a character named Amanda. Her icon will show up outside of your apartment. Go talk to her, and she'll ask you to show her around the city.

After showing her around the Bam Bam Club and the Temple, you'll take her around to a martial arts school where you'll be confronted by your old fighting master. He'll talk to you about finding his lost Jade Statues. We'll get to that in a bit.

Once you've finished your first date with her, call her up on your phone and take her on a date at Victoria Park. Once the date is over, you'll be able to view where all the Health Shrines are located on the map.

Jade Statues

You'll run into Tiffany the first time you show up at the Bam Bam Club. Once you've left the club, call her up to go on a date and perform a bit of Karaoke with her. Doing so will allow you to unlock the locations of all the Jade Statues on your map.

Once you pick up a Jade Statue, don't forget to return them to the fighting school to learn a new fighting skill. Each Jade Statue can be found at a mission-specific area.

Security Cameras

To discover the locations of all the Security Cameras in Hong Kong, you'll have to go on a date with Not-Ping. You'll first meet her in the mission "Listening In". Once you've completed that mission, she'll appear on your phone book. Give her a call and go on a date with her.

Once you've picked her up from her electronics store, she'll take you to the park where you'll be able to hack a camera. Complete the date and you'll be able to locate Security Cameras on the map. Be sure to hack everything and call the police on suspected drug deals to earn a ton of Police experience.

Lockboxes

Last but not least, Lockboxes can be found anywhere in Hong Kong, but going on a date with Ilyana will make them a whole lot easier to find.

You'll meet up with Ilyana during the mission "Important Visitor" where she's dancing at the KBox club. Get her number, call her up, and you'll go on a date with her which just so happens to be a parkour race. Beat her at the parkour track and you'll be able to find all the lockboxes on your map from then on.
