Guild Wars 2 Makes Appearances at Eurogamer Expo, Gamescom 13th Jul, 2011
NCSoft plans to show off Guild Wars 2 at this year's Eurogamer Expo in September, which takes place in London. The cooperative RPG will also be shown off at gamescom in Germany a month before, where it is expected to receive solid amounts of press coverage.

Guild Wars 2 Beta Coming this Year 18th May, 2011
NCSoft has announced that the beta for Guild Wars 2 will begin in the second half of 2011 at a conference call with the press today. CFO Jaeho Lee also hinted at a 2012 release window for the upcoming title from ArenaNet. "Guild Wars 2 will go into beta testing stage in the second half of this year," he said. Guild Wars 2 is a PC exclusive title.

Guild Wars 2 continues in the world of Tyria, but the game takes place 250 years after the events that took place in the Eye of the North expansion. Players are tasked to defeat five elder dragons who, once dormant under the surface, have risen and are destroying cities and creating chaos. Dwarves are on the brink of extinction, and the once dominant human race has seen a drastic decline in population.
