It's only been a week since the game has been released and Mario Tennis Open is already on sale. Target has the product on sale, on their website. If you add the product to your cart the price of $29.99 will be shown instead of the regular price of $39.99. Either Target really wants you to have some savings or they think the game will be a flop. Why can't the have other games on sale a week after they've launched? Like Skyrim or Mass Effect 3? Sheesh.
Steam and Amazon do stuff like this on occassion as well, maybe Target is getting... More »
In news that just made my day, Konami is now teasing for Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2! The publisher has posted a new image on their Facebook page with the tag-line " The Dragon Returns on 5.31.2012," along with a web address for thedragonreturns.com
Of course, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that "Dracul" means "dragon" in Romanian, which is the nickname for the real "Dracula"(Vlad II Dracul) -- which, in itself, was the basis for Dracula the... More »
Remember when we reported on that leaked "Rebellion" multiplayer DLC for Mass Effect 3? Well, as it turns out, it's not a rumor anymore as BioWare has just confirmed the DLC's existence.
The DLC, which will be hitting Xbox LIVE, PSN and PC on May 29, will be a free download that will include new two new maps (Firebase Jade and Firebase Goddess on Thessia, three new weapons (Reegar Carbine, Krysae Sniper Rifle and Cerberus Harrier) and six new characters!
For those already bored with the... More »
Just a few days back, we posted a teaser trailer for THQ's upcoming Metro: Last Light live-action short film. Well, today's the 24th and as promised, THQ has now released the short film in its entirety and boy, are you in for a treat!
Needless to say, it would be an injustice to talk about what happens in the feature. It's so well-made (in my opinion) that it deserves a watch on its own -- regardless if you're a Metro: Last Light fan or not.
Now you know why it's titled... More »

GameranxTV's Jen Shaffer walks the line in the demo of Spec Ops: The Line for the Xbox 360.
The game looks and feels like other third person shooters, but upon further inspection, Jen discovers a lot of depth in the Heart of Darkness-based game by Yager Development and Darkside Game Studios.
Heavily influenced by Joseph Conrad's book, Spec Ops: The Line pits the player as Captain Martin Walker, who leads a Delta Force team into the heart of post-apocalyptic Dubai to rescue a U.S. Army Colonel and... More »
Realmforge Studios has just released the first ever trailer of their upcoming vampire-themed RPG, Dark.
Dark puts you in the role of a bloodsucker named Eric Bane, who like every other hero in videogame history, suffers from amnesia. He wakes up one day in a bar full of vampires and must come to terms with his newfound vampirism.
The trailer shows the game from a first person perspective, where the game's main character—equipped with a submachine gun—does battle against a shadowy... More »
Do video games have a negative effect on young men? It depends who you ask, with some psychologists and the country of Sweden claiming that there can be benefits to playing games. Still, there are people who would like nothing more than to see the form of entertainment wiped off the planet, and they're willing to use fancy words and hide facts if it'll fool people into believing the same thing.
Dr Philip Zimbardo is releasing a book, "The Demise of Guys: Why Boys are Struggling and What We... More »

While Level-5's 3DS indie bundle of sorts Guild 01 won't release until later this summer, the studio has wasted no time in revealing Guild 02. Like the original this will be another collection of smaller titles bundled on to one cartridge for Nintendo's 3D enabled handheld.
Of note this time around is Mega Man creator, Keiji Inafune getting in on the action with his project, Insect Tank. The game has players pilot a small tank while fighting bugs during World War II.
Oh, yeah. It sounds really... More »
Hideo Kojima is very excited about Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance—enough so that he's requested his publisher Konami for special permission to show the game at E3 this year in fully playable form. Prior to his request, the publisher had no plans to present Revengeance at the convention.
Developed by Platinum Games and produced by Kojima Productions, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is set in Hideo Kojima's well-crafted Metal Gear universe and puts you in the role of Raiden, a cybernetic ninja who tears... More »
Sony has been driving a lot of effort towards popularizing its PlayStation Vita and will undoubtedly announce a number of new titles at this year's E3, which is slated to happen in June.
The publisher may not have any plans to unveil the PlayStation 4 this year, but it has been rumored to have a partnership in the works with a "leading cloud gaming service" that may either be Gaikai or OnLive.
The partnership deal would involve the PlayStation Vita, which means that playing OnLive or... More »
While the rest of the world has been getting excited for the Vita version of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, European fans have been worried that we'd be left waiting months. Personally I had flashbacks to the announcement that the console versions of the game would be delayed a third of a year for no good reason, so it's good to know that the handheld version will be available in the not so distant future.
The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Vita will be available for purchase on June 29th, only a few... More »
Psychonauts and Brutal Legend developer Double Fine has teamed up with Sega to launch a new website for an upcoming game, titled simply The Cave.
Double Fine Productions is teaming up with games publisher Sega to release The Cave, a new game from Ron Gilbert. The game is "an adventure game so odd and compelling that it can only be described as odd and compelling."
“If you enjoy rappelling, spelunking and dark rocky caverns then be prepared to be disappointed! And then intrigued. And then... More »
There are some people who try to make a living out of games like World of Warcraft and Diablo 3. Some of them are devious and manage to get away with it. Others, like this gentleman who posted to the Blizzard forums, are less devious and completely give themselves away.
Gamebank, his actual screen name, bought nearly thirty Diablo 3 accounts for friends without internet connections who couldn't purchase the game themselves. This is his story when defending himself after all of those accounts were reverted to... More »
