Japanese Sales Figures: Vita Makes Gains, But Only Slightly By Josh Harmon
Hell may have just gotten a little icier, as the latest batch of Media Create sales figures bring some good news for Sony's struggling PlayStation Vita.

PSP Hating, Motorcycle Riding Bad Boy Sets Little Kid Straight By Elizabeth DeLoria
There’s a man in Osaka who doesn’t play by anyone’s rules but his own, and he doesn’t care what you think, man. He only cares about two things - the open road, and kids who’re still playing PSPs.
On January 12th, a grade school student in Osaka and one of their friends were playing video games outside on their PSPs. It was about 5.30 in the evening when this rebel without a cause approached the two, not happy at all about that PSP in the kid’s hand.

Sony On Vita Sales: 'Meh' By Elizabeth DeLoria
The Vita sales have been a little bit concerning recently, but that’s okay. It looks like Sony’s more concerned with quality over quantity.
According to SCEA’s hardware marketing director, John Koller, it’s working out just fine despite the sales figures because the Vita’s reputation is so strong. “If you look at the word-of-mouth factor, it’s really strong because people are bringing it home and really enjoying it,” Koller said, speaking to GameSpot at CES. “That... Corpse Party Deconstructed
By Colette Bennett
While the visual novel may be a big deal in Japan, it hasn’t really found its footing in the US, although there are certainly dedicated fan translators out there who have gone to great lengths to make sure that hardcore fans can play some of the most well-known ones, such as Higurashi no Naku Koru Ni. There are also rare instances where a visual novel gets a proper US release, as in the case of Chunsoft’s 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, which tells the story of a group of people trapped on a sinking ship... How to Win at Christmas: Christmas Katamari Style By Elizabeth DeLoria
Christmas is over and we’ve entered the New Year - but the New Year is a special time of looking at other people’s Christmas decorations and thinking ‘why the hell didn’t I do that?’ Such is the case with this awesome Katamari Christmas ball.
Traditional Christmas trees aren’t for everyone. Fake ones can be pricey and real ones put pine needles all over the floor. Some of us don’t have the space, while others just can’t be bothered going to all that... More »

By Ian Miles Cheong
Games of the Year 2011
It's that time of year when we get to pick out our favorite games and gush about them, and tell you why we love them. Saying that they're 'great' or 'awesome' simply doesn't cut it, so we'll try to go into a bit of detail about why we picked the games we did.
With so many games to choose from, it was hard for us to narrow it down to ten—but we think we managed. It should also be surprising how some of the games that managed to edge out the... More »
