This Is What Angry Birds Star Wars Looks Like In Action
It's like normal Angry Birds, but lightsabers are now involved.
The Angry Birds/Star Wars crossover was announced a few weeks back, and ever since, everyone has been imagining what it might possibly resemble. Well, we now have our first look, and it has more than met expectations.
Not that there was any doubt in the first place. Rovio has more than proven itself to be not just a one trick pony, unlike some of its contemporaries in the same space (Zynga immediately comes to mind, and their fading fortunes is more than proof of this).
Some where expecting Rovio to use Angry Birds Space as a template, which seemed to be a given, considering where Star Wars takes place. But, as you can see in the following trailer, it's basically the original formula with various Star Wars garnishes.
The environments take place in familiar, Star Wars locale, like Tatoonie and Hoth, and the latter has constructs such as AT-ATs to topple. Which can be done with the help of a laser blaster or lightsaber.
Naturally, the pigs are members of the Empire and the birds are the rebels. The good guys are even clearly modeled after Luke and Leia. I wonder if the later will don a slave outfit as well?
No doubt other noteable faces will have appearances as well. Perhaps Boba Fett? Though it’s also a safe bet that new trilogy will represented as well. Sadly.
