Pier Solar is the latest, and most promising game to appear on Kickstarter. Originally developed as a MegaDrive cartridge by WaterMelon in 2010, the game is due for a complete HD revamp that sees it looking a whole lot like Bastion—but with pixel sprites for characters and HD art for the environments.
The game’s already half-way funded and its developer plans to bring the game to the PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox 360, and even the Dreamcast. To complete the project, the team needs $139,000. Help them out here.

Pier Solar is a 16-bit RPG that tells the story of Hoston, a young botanist who is on a quest to save his father from a mysterious illness. Along with his two best friends Alina and Edessot, the three friends embark on a quest seeking a rare herb to cure the illness of Hoston's father. Little do they know, it is the beginning of a winding journey that unravels his father's past and the mystery of Pier Solar and the Great Architects.
