Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time Demo Available for PS Plus Subscribers in North America

January 24, 2013 by Jordan Erica Webber

Other PSN users in North America get to play next week

A demo for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time became available yesterday for PS Plus subscribers in North America, according to NeoGAF user Tizoc (and others). I can't verify this, because I'm in the U.K. and we definitely don't have a demo here, but although the demo wasn't mentioned in this week's PS Store update blog post, the announcement was tucked away at the bottom of one from earlier this month:

Bet you can’t wait to start playing, right? Well good news — we’ll be releasing a new downloadable demo, so you can get some hands-on time with Sly before the game hits store shelves. Starting January 22nd, the new demo will be available exclusively for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Then, on January 29th, it will be available publicly to all PSN users. For those of who got early access to the first Sly demo from the Ratchet & Clank Collection, this demo is brand new — so be sure to check this one out as well! Stay tuned for lots more on Sly as we head toward launch, and don’t forget to pre-order your copy today.

While there was a demo for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time included in the Ratchet & Clank Collection (again, for North American customers), this one has a little extra content. And even PSN users who aren't PS Plus subscribers will get to play it from next Tuesday, though I don't know if that applies to the U.K.

I'm really looking forward to this game, so I don't mind saying how jealous I am of PS Plus subscribers in North America right now. If you get a chance to download the demo and have a go, do let me know what you think of it in the comments below.
