VVVVVV Being Ported To iPhone, But Who Knows If We’ll Ever Get To Play It

January 31, 2013 by Matt Hawkins

The creator himself says it might be “AGES” before he lets it loose.

Terry Cavanagh is best known as the creator of Super Hexagon for iOS and later Android. But the 2D puzzle platformer VVVVVV is how most people know the indie developer.

And, as it turns out, Cavanagh has been working on an iOS port of that game as well, reports Joystiq. He's currently putting it through its paces, but unfortunately, there's a major hurdle that needs to be overcome.

The problem is controls. When asked by someone on Twitter how the game could possible work on a touchscreen, the response given was:

"they're *acceptable*. A game like this is always gonna be better with real buttons, but I'm hoping I can make it good enough to play"

Which is why, as stated elsewhere, it might be "AGES" before anyone else other than Cavanagh gets to play VVVVVV for iOS.
