BioWare has plenty in store for players of Mass Effect 3 with the upcoming DLC for the game, Citadel. Beyond Citadel, the studio intends to release an update titled Reckoning for the game’s co-op multiplayer with additional maps and content, including new character classes.
To that end, the update will see the addition of the Female Turian Cabal Vanguard. The character class comes with three all new powers, never before seen in either the single- or multiplayer modes.
Prior to this, female Turians have only ever been spotted in the Mass Effect graphic novel and in the Omega DLC. It looks like BioWare actually took the time to develop a new female character model for the race. With any luck, we’ll be seeing much more of them in the future.
Additionally, an EDI-like android called the Alliance Infiltration Unit is being introduced into the game as a playable character class. It was spotted in this particular screenshot. A better close-up of the character can be seen below. At the moment, it just looks like EDI, so it’s unknown whether BioWare intends to do more with the character.
Finally, a picture of the Reckoning DLC banner was leaked from the beta. It reveals character classes never before seen, including what appears to be a Collector—or perhaps an agent of the Leviathan.
