The Ouya To Officially Debut On March 28 In San Francisco

March 11, 2013 by Matt Hawkins

What console launch is complete without festivities?

If you're heading to San Francisco in the next couple of weeks, to attend the Game Developers Conference, there's yet another thing to add to your list of things to possibly check out.

March 28th is the day in which the Ouya finally set loose to the world. As noted previously, it reaches retail shelves later this summer, but later this month is when all Kickstarter backers will get their final production models.

And, to mark the occasion, the folks behind the Android powered console alternative are going to have a launch event. It's not officially connected to GDC, but simply just another satellite event, one of many.

The festivities take place between 8PM to 12AM according to Engadget. The location has yet to be disclosed, at least to the public. No word on whether anyone and everyone is invited.

But given its location, and especially if anyone reading this is indeed going to GDC, there's a good chance you might qualify for entry.
