Patrice Desilets Returns To Ubisoft Following THQ’s Fall

Veteran game designer Patrice Desilets has returned to Ubisoft after the collapse of THQ.

Ubisoft have today confirmed that the creator of the Assassin's Creed franchise, verteran game designer Patrice Desilets, has returned to the company following his stint at the now defunct THQ.

"We are very pleased to welcome Patrice to Ubisoft again and anticpate that this renewed partnership will produce new ideas and high-quality titles for Ubisoft customers" said a Ubisoft representative. 

During the sale of THQ assets Ubisoft purchased the collapsed publisher's Montreal studio and also acquired the rights to Desilets' upcoming projects, 1666 and another title with the codename of Underdogs. 

Earlier this year Ubisoft informed Polygon that they sought to: "offer an organisational structure that provides continuity for the creative teams involved" adding that "unannounced projects from THQ Montreal are included as part of the acquistion." 

Desilets served as Ubisoft's creative director until 2010 when he joined THQ.
