Ubisoft has announced today that pre-orders for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will receive something called The Black Island Pack DLC. The aforementioned bonus is available exclusively to GameStop. It's unknown what other packs will be in store for other retailers.
The Black Isle Pack revolves around a treasure-hunting quest on Black Island and contains Captain Morgan's deadly Black Ship, which floundered off the coast with a full load of legendary sailing equipment a.k.a. goodies for the game's protagonist Edward Kenway to equip.
Players will be able to explore the Black Island and retrieve the sought-after treasure, which includes the legendary silver flintlock pistols used by Captain Morgan, and multiplayer items including Captain Morgan's costume, picture, and title.
The bonuses differ from the Black Chest Edition, which is available to European gamers as a special collector's pack. That particular version of the game contains, among many physical goodies, Captain Drake's Outfit, dual swords, dual flintlocks, a Treasure Hunter multiplayer costume, and a single-player mission called Sacrificed Secrets, which takes place on Sacrifice Island.
The game is slated for release on October 29, 2013 for the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and next-gen platforms including the PS4.
