EA Games has posted a teaser for a new Need for Speed game on its Facebook fanpage. The teaser image depicts a car with the word "PURSUIT" written in a decal on the side, leading some—including us—to believe that the next game in development may well be Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, named after the older titles in the series.
Much like the latest game, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, EA may be following the trend of naming its new, next-generation titles after older games in the NFS series.
Beyond the screenshot, details about the game are completely unknown at this point. However, we expect for the publisher to make a full and proper announcement of the next Need for Speed game at E3, which takes place next month in Los Angeles.
There's a very good chance that the next Need for Speed game, be it Hot Pursuit or something else, will be developed for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One in addition to existing platforms like the PC.
