Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception E3 2011 Preview with Justin Richmond

June 7, 2011 by Jacob Saylor

Lead designer Justin Richmond showed off a demo of Uncharted 3 on IGN’s E3 YouTube feed.

The interview began on the topic of single player. Mr. Richmond said “We wanted to make the game more versatile. We don't want to force the player to play our way.” They then went on to discuss the series' success. Mr. Richmond attributed much of the popularity to having characters that the player can relate to.

Next in line for discussion was under the topic of technicality. The Uncharted series has always been at the top of the industry in terms of graphics and audio, and in Uncharted 3 things are going to get even crazier. Mr. Richmond elaborated by saying “Some of the elements in Uncharted 2 were amazing, but in the third iteration we are taking these even further.”

The game is slated for release on 11-1-11.
