PlayStation boasts MLB 14: The Show and its dynamic fielding marker capability in their latest YouTube video posted today. The footage shows comparision shows shots of the game on the PlayStation 4 and MLB 13: The Show on the PlayStation 3.
In the previous edition of the game, there was a big blue circle that indicates where the ball is going to land. In addition, there was a spinning ball within that circle that specifically shows the point where players need to be in order to catch the ball. However, the latest version on the PS4 enables the game to be more realistic and challenging with the dynamic fielding marker.
The video shows that the big blue circle has been removed and the spinning ball now moves from the batter to where it will land. Players will not be able to know the final destination of the ball early on. It was previously possible to know if the ball was going to be a home run as soon as the batter hit it. Now, players have to track the direction of the ball from the moment it goes up in the air. While it does make the game more challenging, it adds a sense of realism and suspense that should be a positive addition.
We recently posted another video that showcased the amazing detail of the stadiums in the game. The developer is also promising a better launch on the PS4 when it comes out in a few weeks.
MLB 14: The Show is out for PS3 and PS Vita systems and will be released on the PS4 on May 6, 2014 and it is priced at $59.99.
