SOE has shared the first official trailer for H1Z1.
Simply titled “Will You Survive?”, the trailer effectively sends one message: the world of H1Z1 is full of zombies, and because of that it is a very dangerous world.
To be honest, as simple as it is, it almost feels like a step back, since we already know more about the game, and this trailer really does not do the game justice. It made me think more of a survival horror game like Slender.
What does the trailer not capture about H1Z1? Well, it will be a persistent online world, and more than that, it will be a somewhat realistic, desolate world. SOE has taken the premise of living in a zombie world to its logical end. Resources, including guns and vehicles, are scarce, and easily go busted. Forget the immediate visceral violence of Dead Rising, and think The Walking Dead.
As for graphics? They’re OK, by no means impressive yet. They do seem functional, as we can see outlines of buildings deep in the dark. The lighting on the torch seems realistic enough that you would take it for granted.
