Mass Effect Trilogy Listed for PS4 and Xbox One

April 27, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Chilean site claims that BioWare’s series is being remade for current-gen.

Chilean retailer Zmart has listed the Mass Effect Trilogy for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on its website.

Zmart offers no details on when the trilogy will be re-released or what the price of the supposed collection will be. Retailers have revealed unannounced games more than once in the past, including The Last of Us: Remastered, and it's possible Zmart's listings are correct.

BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn has previously commented that a remaster of the RPG series is possible, "We have discussed that internally. If we can put solid plans together we'll share. Great to hear you're keen."

Hopefully BioWare, or whichever studio is responsible for making the ports, will overhaul gameplay elements – such as the first game's weak combat mechanices – as well as graphics.

BioWare is currently developing Mass Effect 4 but not much is known about the game at present, we'll likely get our first proper glimpse of the game at E3 in June.
