Bathesda Softworks, made an announcement today via their official blog that Fallout: New Vegas, is scheduled for a Fall 2010 release on the xbox 360, ps3, and pc in North America and Europe.

It has been said in the past that New Vegas is not a sequel to Fallout 3, but rather, is set in the Fallout universe and since the game is being developed in conjunction with Obsidian Entertainment, led by the founders of Black Isle studios - developers of Fallout I & Fallout II, it is set to be extra special for fans of the series.

Bathesda has also revealed that in the coming weeks, the game will feature in cover stories of gaming magazines in various countries but to leave fans drooling with anticipation a new teaser trailer has been released.

Fallout: New Vegas is a role-playing video game in the Fallout series, in development by Obsidian Entertainment and currently scheduled for release in Fall 2010.
