PES 2015 vs 2014 Graphics Comparison Shows What Fox Engine Is Capable Of On Next-Gen

July 4, 2014 by Stephen Daly

The graphics in PES have come on a long way in a year but what ‘pro evolution’ football actually means remains a mystery.

YouTuber maremas has posted new videos comparing Juventus and Manchester United footballers such as Wayne Rooney in PES 2014 and PES 2015.

PES 2015 is being developed on the Fox Engine, the same tech powering Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and is being produced by Konami London, a studio specially founded to work on the game in 2012.

At the time Konami said:

“Konami has reaffirmed its commitment to its Pro Evolution Soccer series with a large-scale commitment that will see a dedicated European wing of the Tokyo-based PES Productions team established within Europe.”

Of course, aside from enhancements made to the Fox Engine, much of the graphical tweaks can be pinned on the fact that while PES 2014 was released only on last-gen systems, PES 2015 is coming to PS4 and Xbox One in the Autumn.

You can check out the videos and a side-by-side comparison below.
