Destiny PS4 Installation Size Revealed

July 9, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

One wonders how this will vary from Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 sizes.

We now know how much space Destiny will be occupying on player's hard drives, at least on Playstation 4.

Based on a listing on Sony Entertainment Network, the game will be a 40GB download on Playstation 4. Of course, allowances have to be made for future patches, updates and DLC to be added in the future.

One can only imagine that that 40GB may be used to store the single player campaign, and allow for transition into online multiplayer sections. This also does not account for possible technical requirements to get the game running on Xbox 360, which may or may not vary. We wonder if Bungie has opted to host most of the game on the cloud, or if the single player is in that download, and if they may have opted for some compromises for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Of course, the fans will let the truth out in no time at all.

Destiny is set for release on September 9th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
