We have some interesting information for you regarding the upcoming DLC forGrand Theft Auto 5.
A fan seems to have uncovered new animation cycles for what would be this upcoming DLC. The code names and animations seem to be small spoilers on upcoming plot elements, so you better decide if you want to get that info or not here and how. We will keep things brief and general here, since you really ought to take all of this with a grain of salt, but here’s the thing: we have a video of the animations.
Before I proceed with that, there is one thing interesting about these animations; they were found now, before we saw any Playstation 4 port. I would say this is a pretty good disclaimer that the upcoming DLC was to be Playstation 4-only; these animations could have only been generated by the fan now on either Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. Sony could have gotten timed exclusivity, but that would be the extent of it.
So, a lot of these code animations are in folders with names that start with mp, aka mp_common or mp_common_miss. These seem to indicate multiplayer missions, so they would be reserved for Grand Theft Auto Online.
On the other hand, some of these folders have names of banks, and specific animations within them. These seem to indicate these banks are getting totally unique missions. Examples of banks with missions like these are Rural Bank, Country Bank and Ornate Bank.
Lastly, there will be a lot of computer use in these heists, as they seem to be used for a lot of hacking, communication, and plain old research.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is coming to Windows, PS4, and Xbox One this Autumn.
