Nexis Games' UCraft is a curious oddity. In the absence of an official Minecraft port on Wii U, the indie studio wants to satisfy Nintendo players' desire for voxel building blocks. Thus, here is the official trailer using alpha footage of the upcoming game. It's certainly… something, isn't it? That "This is not a clone" line sure is a laugh!
UCraft focuses on group play, with local co-op for two players or online shenanigans for 16. There will be a class system, with Warrior, Magician, and Engineer revealed so far. You'll even be able to use HullBreach Studios' upcoming Wii U paint software, SDK Paint, to create your own block textures.
Being as gentle as I possibly can, UCraft is looking extremely rough. But maybe it'll all come together once it's released this holiday season. And don't forget about that second Minecraft clone, Stone Shire, also in the works for Wii U.
