Destiny Guide: How to Farm Vanguard Reputation Quickly

November 17, 2014 by Jacob Saylor

A simple guide on how to get Vanguard reputation fast.

Need to learn how to get in with the Vanguard quickly? We're here to help.

The Goal

You'll want to familiarize yourself first with VIP missions. These missions provide 25 Vanguard reputation upon completion. This gives you the same amount of reputation as a Vanguard Tiger Strike, but takes way less time.

The Steps

  1. Load up Earth Patrol
  2. Look for VIP patrol missions
  3. If you can't find any in the first two zones, The Steppes or the Mothyards, go to orbit.
  4. Repeat step 1.

Where you pick up the Mission Where it ends up
The Steppes The Divide
The Divide The Divide
The Divide Rocketyard (rare)
Rocketyard Refinery
The Mothyards Lunar Complex
Skywatch Terrestrial Complex
Skywatch Lunar Complex

How to be as efficient as possible:

  1. If starting area has one grab it and go to The Divide, complete it and look for another one. If the divide has one you stay in that same area so it's pretty much two for one. After completing The Divide VIP missions if there is a kill everything mission grab it, if not; sparrow over to Rocketyard and grab any kill everything missions or VIP missions.

  2. If starting area does not have a VIP or a kill everything mission then go to the left area (The Mothyards) pick up any VIP in that area. This will take you to the building you pass going to the loot cave (Luner Complex). From here go to the loot cave area (Skywatch). If there is one in here it can either lead back into the lunar complex or into the terrestrial complex. If leading to the lunar complex finish it and go to orbit. If leading to the terrestrial complex finish it and walk a little farther to the forgotten shores and look for any. Then go to orbit and repeat.
