In this great new digital age, nothing seems to work properly anymore. (Truthfully, nothing seemed to work before either, but now these problems are much more noticeable and annoying.) Not even Nintendo can escape the need to patch fixes into its otherwise high-quality software. Such is the case with Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, which have been updated to v1.2.
The big issue this update address is a game-freezing glitch that triggers when the ending movie tries to play after entering the Hall of Fame. If the game were to lock up at any point, at least it does so at the very end when a sudden freeze wouldn't kill your momentum. Still, you probably don't want to deal with that nonsense regardless, hence the patch.
The v1.2 update can be accessed from the eShop, or you can use the 3DS camera to scan the QR code for your game version to be taken directly to the download page.
