This Dying Light Mod Makes The Game Much More Terrifying

February 8, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

This mod makes the zombies in Dying Light that more terrifying by turning it into 28 Days Later.

The vast majority of the zombies in Dying Light are sedate, drone-like creatures who provide very little in the way of danger unless lured by the sounds of explosions. Dangerous only in numbers, these zombies are about as terrifying as the ones in a George Romero film.

A new modification called the Super Aggressive Zombies Mod aims to change up the game so that the experience of Dying Light becomes less like Dawn of the Dead and more like 28 Days Later.

What the modification does is change the AI behavior and make most zombies in the game much more aggressive and cause them to aggro from a greater distance, so large packs of runners come after you. Its creator does not recommend trying it out in a new game as it substantially increases the game’s difficulty level.

Check out the video below for an example of how terrifying the zombies are with this mod.

If you’d like to experience this for yourself, head on over to the game’s mod page on Nexusmods and pick it up. Keep in mind that you’ll need a fully updated version of Dying Light on the PC to get it to run.
