Metal Gear Online will offer support for as many as 16 players on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will support 12 players.

Publisher Konami revealed the player detail count on the Japanese Metal Gear Solid website. Metal Gear Online will be included with all copies of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain when the game releases on September 1st.

In Metal Gear Online, two teams of players sneak around the battlefield and the multiplayer mode is being developed at Kojima Productions' studio in LA.

Gameplay was first revealed at The Game Awards last December including skin changes and a base being taken out.
