September 14, 2011

Tecmo Koei has made a surprise announcement of Dead or Alive 5, which carries the slogan “I’m a fighter.”

Tecmo Koei Europe just put out a surprise announcement on Twitter about its plans to launch Dead or Alive 5. The game, which is set for release in 2012, will be available on both the Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3 platforms.

The concept of DEAD OR ALIVE 5 is Fighting Entetainment. Coming 2012 on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The company showed off a few images, presumably of the game at the Tokyo Games Show event this week.

Dead or Alive 5 is expected to take off after the events of the fourth game, which was released five years ago as an exclusive title for the Xbox 360 and received a very positive response from critics with a majority of them giving it a high score. The only negative comments it received were for its online play, hopefully we'll see much more seemless online gameplay in the upcoming title.
