Nintendo of Europe has assembled a brilliant trailer for Valhalla Studios’ Devil’s Third, just in time for the game’s release and Gamescom.
It’s arranged just like an action movie trailer, introducing Ivan escaping from Guantanamo, and then revealing the main conflict, giving way to several scenes of Ivan kicking ass. The trailer also reveals a hidden surprise twist, as the SOD’s use of biological weapons has led to the creation of gigantic and gruesome Umbrella Corporation-like manbeasts.
The trailer reveals the names of the different members of SOD; Danny Trejo lookalike Big Mouse, the smiling lingerie-clad vamp Jane Do, the stern, all business pistol wielding Ludmilla, the towering Zulu fighter Grundla Saha, the mysterious young markswoman, C-4, and finally, the descendant of the Kumanos and leader of the SOD, Isaac Kumano.
Of course, the trailer shows off a bit of the multiplayer as well, and rather than overwhelm with detail, Nintendo of Europe chose to show a highlight reel of some of the wildest and best moments. It makes it a point to show a lot of female custom characters, and hints at the game’s true potential, with alliances, negotiations and espionage all on the table.
Devil’s Third is now available in Japan and Europe and will be released in the US for Wii U in Q4 2015. There will also be a PC F2P multiplayer only version coming in the future.
