Battlefield 3 Beta Guide: How Can I Enter the Beta?

September 20, 2011 by Ian Miles Cheong

You may be asking how you can participate in the open beta for Battlefield 3. This handy little guide should help you on your way.

bf3 open beta how to get in

With the announcement from DICE that the Open Beta for Battlefield 3 is launching on September 29, how you can enter into the Open Beta is a question you may be asking yourself.

The game's official website offers some fairly simple instructions on how you can do that, regardless of whether you're intending to play it on the PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.

Instead of redirecting you to another page, I'll simply explain with as clear instructions as possible on how you can go about participating in the multiplayer FPS the moment it launches.

Players on the Xbox 360 can join the beta on September 29, when it goes live on the Xbox Live Marketplace. It will be one of the options available.

Gamers on the PlayStation 3 will be able to participate on the same day, when the beta goes live on the PlayStation Network Store. Be sure to log into the store and download the game.

If you're on the PC, you will have to download the Origin client from EA if you wish to participate. On the 29th, the beta will appear on Origin's demo page, where you can download it.

If you have pre-ordered the game via Origin, you will receive early access to the beta. An e-mail will be sent to your registered e-mail address with instructions.
