Call of Duty Black Ops 3’s latest trailer introduces us to two of the Specialists. Meet Prophet and Battery.
It’s clear from this preview that the Specialists are not only playable, but intended to keep regular grunts in line. They’re not overwhelmingly powerful compared to regular soldiers, but they definitely get the best toys.
You can read details on each Specialist’s loadouts, as well as some information on their abilities, below.
Prophet
Prophet’s special ability is Glitch, which allows him quick escapes from bad situations. Glitch teleports Prophet back to the location he was in from a few seconds ago.
Primary – Sheiva
Semi auto marksman assault rifle.
Eliminates enemy infantry in 2 shots.
Primary Optic – Reflex Sight
Precision red dot sight.
Primary Attachment – Quickdraw
Aim down the sights faster.
Primary Attachment – Rapid Fire
Increased rate of fire.
Lethal – Semtex
Grenade that sticks to surfaces before detonating.
Tactical – Shock Charge
Proximity triggered mine that electrocutes and stuns nearby enemies.
Perk – Blind Eye
Undetectable by enemy air support.
Perk – Hard Wired
Immune to Counter-UAV, Power Core, EMP Grenade, and Smoke Screen. Will not trigger proximity based Lethals or Tacticals. Reduce your digital imprint against enemy Tracker and Sixth Sense Perks.
Perk – Sixth Sense
Displays a mini-map indicator with the direction of nearby enemies.
Best Weapon – Tempest
Charges up to fire lightning bolts.
These lighting bolts can chain nearby enemies.
Good for punishing groups of campers.
Battery
Battery’s special ability is Kinetic Armor. This is reactive armor that deflects enemy bullets away from the body. Battery is still vulnerable to headshots and non-bullet damage.
Battery’s loadout below is based around the Kinetic Armor, emphasizing brutal close up combat power. Battery is the best at charging towards the frontlines and attacking fortifications.
Primary – Haymaker 12
Fully-automatic shotgun. Fast fire rate with modest damage.
Primary Attachment – Laser Sight
Increases hip fire accuracy.
Primary Attachment – Extended Mag
More ammo in each clip.
Secondary – XM-53
Free-fire or lock-on launcher. Comes equipped with a 2 rocket capacity.
Tactical – Concussion
Disorients enemies and slows down movement.
Perk 1 – Flak Jacket
Take less damage from enemy explosives and flames.
Perk 3 – Gung-Ho
Hip-fire your weapon, deploy equipment, and throw grenades while sprinting.
Perk 3 – Tactical Mask
Reduce the effects of Flashbangs, Concussions, and Shock Chargers.
Best Weapon – War Machine
Mobile grenade launcher that fires bouncing explosives with the choice of instant or delayed detonation.
Causes massive explosive damage over large areas.
