You Can’t Cheat In Rainbow Six Siege Anymore

January 15, 2016 by Olga Lexell

Sorry, cheaters.

Pretty much every game has cheaters — don't even try to tell us you weren't a little curious about Fallout 4's infinite bottlecaps glitch — and it's important to know how a company reacts to those who try to outsmart the game.

The latest Rainbow Six Siege update from Ubisoft aims to eliminate cheaters.

"Banning policy update: all cheaters detected by the system will be banned permanently. No more three day ban for first offense."

This move is bound to be a controversial one as many players worry about the anti-cheating system's potential to detect false positives. Of course, a company as prominent as Ubisoft likely has a solution to that problem, but we'll just have to see how the new policy works out for the company.
