Fallout Composer Releases Remastered Soundtracks for Fallout 1 and 2

January 8, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

You can now listen to the remastered soundtracks of Fallout 1 and 2 thanks to the game’s composer.

Fans of the Fallout series have plenty of reason to reminisce over both the old games by Interplay and the newer ones by Bethesda and Obsidian Entertainment.

Apart from the fact that they're all great RPGs set in a great post-apocalyptic retrofuturistic environment, the haunting music by Mark Morgan (in the first two games) breathed life—albeit one of the irradiated variety—into the post-Californian wasteland.

Thankfully, composer Mark Morgan released the soundtrack of the first two games in a project he calls the Vault Archives. Remastered in both lossless FLAC and 320kb MP3 format for high quality listening, the music is now available to everyone.

You may have stumbled upon these when they were released a couple years back, but they seem to have flown under everyone's radar. You can grab them for free on Aural Network. They're the ones at the very bottom of the page.
