The Most Beautiful Controller That You'll Never Have

Not too long ago, we showed you what could possibly be the ugliest controller in the existence of video games. Well, as an apology for any eye or wallet injury it may have caused, we thought we’d show you what’s possibly one of the most beautiful controllers ever created.

This Legend of Zelda controller, created by The Work Of Data, is only a concept design - but goddamn if it isn’t great to look at and dream of holding.

The GameCube controller would have come packaged in a beautifully detailed faux-book case, which is probably the only thing good enough to hold such a work of art. The controller itself features a sheild-like design in the center and colours to match that of Link, but the best part is undoubtedly the little buckled sleeve. If you look closely, you’ll notice that it’s designed to match Link’s gauntlets.

The Work Of Data’s genius doesn’t stop at Zelda, however. He’s created concepts for several games, including this glorious Resident Evil 4 chainsaw controller.

My boring old black and white controllers are dead to me.
