New Borderlands 2 Screenshots Showcase Vehicular Manslaughter and Mechanized Warfare

April 4, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

New shots of Gearbox’s Borderlands 2 show off the game’s vehicular combat and battles against mechs.

Borderlands 2 is ostensibly one of the biggest games coming out this year, and Gearbox is holding nothing back with the game's marketing and advertising.

This morning, the studio released nine brand new screenshots of the game, which is set on the wasteland planet of Pandora.

Combining a sci-fi setting with a post-apocalyptic feel, Borderlands 2 will allow up to four players to drive carnage through Pandora's myriad environments or go it alone in the game's single player campaign.

The new screenshots of Borderlands 2 show off combat with enemies both mechanized, insect, and human, as the player characters use the wide arsenal of weapons available to them in the game's co-op mode. Also seen is vehicular combat with a three-manned vehicle with flyers hot on its tail.
