Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is Moving Units Like a Champ

April 18, 2012 by Elizabeth DeLoria

410,000 units sold so far.

While Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was a breath of fresh air, new intellectual property is always a gamble for publishers. Luckily for Big Huge Games and 38 Studios, Reckoning is actually doing pretty well, with 410,000 copies sold in the US since launch a few months ago.

According to WPRI, another 80,000 units were also moved in March if you go by NPD data.

Just in case it didn’t look like things could get more optimistic for the new IP, this data only covers the US and doesn’t take PC sales made through digital distribution networks into account. If you use your imagination, the missing data here most likely adds up to some impressive figures in the future.
