June 12, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

GTA V may have a chance to show up at GamesCom later this year.

The committee that oversees GamesCom 2012 has confirmed today the participation of Take 2 Interactive, giving fans of Grand Theft Auto a small glimmer of hope that the company will unveil some new information about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V, which has remained under wraps since the game's announcement late last year.

The company has yet to reveal which games it plans to bring to the event, which includes titles by Rockstar Games as well as others under its publishing banner, like BioShock Infinite, Borderlands 2 and XCOM: Enemy Unknown—as well as the XCOM FPS.

More information is expected to surface about these titles, even those that made appearances at E3 2012 last week.

Gamescom 2012 is set to take place from August 15 to 19 in Cologne, Germany.
