Dishonored Will Have Custom PC UI

June 19, 2012 by Jen Shaffer

Oh thank god.

Arkane Studios knows what is up. Instead of creating a title specifically for a PC and then porting to a console, or vice versa, they are creating a tailored experience for both venues. Keeping in line with that mindset, the PC version of Dishonored will have its own user interface, not a clunky square-peg-circle-hole console rip.

Raphael Colantonio, the co-creative director of Dishonored, has been around the block more than once. Having been in the industry for over a decade, he's become well versed in creating the best experience for any given gamer. Colantonio explained to PC Gamer, "So both sides are very influential, and in the end, yes, the PC has its own different interface.”

Colantonio's partner in crime, Harvey Smith has said that Arkane Studios views PC standards almost as a "religion" to the team.

It's no wonder they are giving Dishonored the star treatment.

Dishonored will be released for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on October 9th, 2012.
