While Microsoft has publicly stated that Gears of War: Judgment will see release in 2013, we still don't have a firm release window just yet. Does this mean early 2013? Fall of 2013?
Well, if CVG's "publishing source close to the matter" is to be believed, it's release might be nearer than you think.
This source has confirmed that Gears of War: Judgment will hit retail in February 2013. Mind you, this is just the game's release window and no exact date has been decided upon yet.
In response to this rumor, Microsoft had this to say.
We have not made any announcements updating launch timing for Gears of War: Judgment beyond early 2013. Stay tuned for new details about Gears of War: Judgment to be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, July 12-15.
So, should we expect a release date for the game at Comic-Con, then? While we can't be sure about that, just be glad that Epic won't be shoehorning Kinect into it.
If this release window is indeed true, that will be one jam-packed February! Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines, Dead Space 3 and Crysis 3 have all been confirmed to be hitting in February, too.
Keep in mind that this is still a rumor until confirmed by Epic or Microsoft…or at least until a retailer leaks it ahead of their announcement.
