Capcom Creating Live-Action Street Fighter Series -- Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist

Capcom is now working with the people who made Street Fighter: Legacy to create a live-action series for Street Fighter!

Capcom just hosted a Street Fighter 25th Anniversary panel at this year's Comic-Con and one of the key things they revealed was not a new Street Fighter game, but rather, a new Street Fighter live-action series  -- and no, Van Damme won't be a part of it.

The live-action web series will be called Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist; and it will be developed by the folks who made the live-action fan flick Street Fighter: Legacy (which you can watch here).

Here's the announcement video.

If you've seen Street Fighter: Legacy, then there's a very good chance you're not as worried as most people are when they hear the name "Street Fighter" mixed in with the words "live-action." Which can only be a good thing, no?

For status updates on the project, head on over to Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist's official Facebook page.

So, is the world ready for a good live-action Street Fighter movie or will this be mired in with the other game to movie drivel that we're used to seeing?

Who knows, this might even pave the way for a good Resident Evil flick, no? Yeah, I went there.
