Lead Gameplay Designer for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3, David Goldfarb (locust9 on Twitter), has fired his last bullet as a DICE employee as he just announced that he's leaving the EA-owned studio.

In a tweet earlier in the day, Goldfarb said, "5 years, 4 games, Grateful to have worked with such awesome people on awesome games. Farewell + Onward." The tweet also contained a link to a YouTube video of the song "Destiny Unknown" which, I assume, means Goldfarb is still unsure where his path will lead him next.

Before working on DICE's flagship military shooter franchise, Goldfarb also worked for Guerilla Games on Killzone.

Hopefully, we'll know soon enough what his next project will be; and it goes without question that we wish him the best on all his future endeavors regardless if they're shooter related or not.

Stay frosty, Goldfarb!
