Sony Will be Vita-Focussed at Tokyo Game Show
The Tokyo Game Show will see a collection of new Vita titles announced, perhaps making up for the lacklustre E3 showing.
It's difficult to agree on the state of the PlayStation Vita; depending on who you ask it's either been mildly successful and exactly what people expected from it within the first six months of launch or a complete disaster that nobody has bothered buying into. One thing that it's easy to agree on is that Sony didn't show off enough new titles at E3 to get the early Vita purchasers excited about the future of their little handheld, so it makes sense that SCE CEO Hiroshi Kawano wants to make sure people know things will be different at the Tokyo Game Show.
Speaking with Famitsu, Hiroshi said that the shift of September's show would definitely be towards the Vita and that several major titles will be announced. It's hard to believe that anything in the same vein as Grand Theft Auto Vita would be announced at a Japanese conference, so expect it to be things more geared towards people who enjoy games from the east. A new Game Heaven program will also be broadcast at some point over the next few months, with further titles to be announced in that.
