EA Publicly Opposes DOMA
The rainbow looks pretty good on them.
Last month, Electronic Arts publicly supporting LGBT rights and had a presence in the Pride Parades in both San Francisco and Seattle and they are looking to take their stance a step further. The publisher has joined an alliance of US businesses that oppose the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) - the federal law that defines marriage as only between one man and one woman. EA signed an amicus brief that urges the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to deem portions of the Act unconstitutional.
From the official statement on EA's site: "DOMA presents a number of problems for businesses like EA, as it creates regulatory, tax, and discrimination complications for employers, and that's why we're standing against it. The underlying lawsuit impacts all employers no matter how big or small, and no matter the industry, and we encourage other business to join these efforts."
