Rumor: PS3 getting facebook integration, customizable gamercard and more

November 11, 2009 by Gameranx Staff

Cool stuff to look forward to in the next firmware update…

PS3 getting facebook integration, customizable gamercard and more

The next Playstation 3 firmware update might introduce Facebook integration, customizable gamercard and a new way to view your photos, according to reportedly leaked images from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. If true, it seems PS3 is trying to catch up with the Xbox 360 and DSi in the social networking department. In Xbox 360 Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm would be available for Xbox LIVE Gold members only while the PS3 would probably allow gamers to hook up to their Facebook profiles for free with no strings attached.
