DmC Devil May Cry Trailer Shows Off Fighting and Flighting

August 9, 2012 by Jen Shaffer

Emo Dante really isn’t all that bad.

Say what you will about the Devil May Cry series, but Ninja Theory really has a new take on the old Dante down to a science. In the latest trailer released by Capcom, Dante pulls off some fancy platforming moves while attacking a variety of enemies. If you learn his moveset, you can juggle enemies in the air higher and higher, until they explode in a bloody mess.

The Western influence is palpable in this addition to the series, and the design is really working for the overall aesthetic. The metal is almost too much, but I found if you turn off the sound completely and play Salt-N-Pepa's Push It in the background, it really works for the trailer. Just a suggestion, take it or leave it.

DmC Devil May Cry is slated for release on January 15, 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. There will also be a PC release, but the date is still TBA.
