Halo 4: Flood Mode and Valhalla Remake Revealed
Halo 4 is getting a remake of Valhalla, and some details of Flood Mode have been unveiled.
343 Industries and Microsoft held a few demonstrations of the upcoming Halo 4 at the Eurogamer Expo, featuring none other than a remake of the map Valhalla. Interestingly enough, those in attendance at the event spotted what looked like the Mantis walker/mech in multiplayer. A video of the remade map and the Mantis can be seen below:
Those present at the event have informed us that the map’s remake is titled Ragnarok.
343 Industries previously confirmed that the Mantis would be pilotable by players in the single player campaign, so this is the first time we’ve seen it in action in multiplayer.
Being infected by the Flood is one of the new features coming to Halo 4’s multiplayer. Titled “Flood Mode”, a group of players will take on the role of infected Spartans and do battle against some regular dudes. They appear to be equipped with thrusters (which shift the player out to third person mode) and a stabbing weapon.
Halo 4 is set for release on November 6. It’s exclusive to the Xbox 360.
