Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Benchmark Trailer Released

April 25, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Using the benchmark software, players will be able to test how the game runs on their builds using actual maps and characters.

Square Enix has shared a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, dubbed the benchmark trailer.

The trailer commemorates the coming benchmark software for Windows on April 27. Using this software, players will be able to test how the game runs on their builds using actual maps and characters.

The trailer is the best place scenario, showing off how the game looks under the recommended specifications. The game is truly stunning, and contrary to what early trailers may have suggested, it continues to be a vibrant games, filled with details instead of masking them under grimdark aesthetics.

It also gives us a good look at some of the new content, with the Dark Knight front and center. The trailer also gives us a great look at the flying mounts and the Chocobos.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavenswardwill be releasing June 23 on Windows, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
