A new job listing by Blizzard entertainment has all but confirmed a console port of its highly anticipated title, Diablo III which was recently delayed to 2012. Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime had said at ActiBlizzard's quarterly conference call that the company is currently "exploring a Diablo-related concept for consoles."
He also said,
I think you could make an argument that a game like Diablo might play very well on a console. It's something that we're actually doing an investigation into to see if that could make sense.
The new job listing clearly states the Blizzard is looking for "a Senior Software Engineer for consoles – Playstation 3 specialist." Is this conclusive evidence that we'll be seeing a console launch next year along with the PC release?
