Xenoblade Chronicles X North American Site Is Up

October 27, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

The site is a little barebones for now, but it does have a lot of pretty high resolution screenshots.

Nintendo of America has launched their official Xenoblade Chronicles X website.

None of the impressive HTML5 tricks sites for other games, like, say, Wonderful 101, are on display here, but they may come up later. Considering the amount of detail Monolith Soft and Nintendo of America themselves have revealed about the game, the site is a little barebones for now.

They do have extensive screenshots and a few wallpapers to accompany the base information and preorder links you would have come to expect. The Special Edition details and preorder links are also already up.

Xenoblade Chronicles X was released as far back as April 29 in Japan, with Famitsu giving it a 34/40. Given that its predecessor, Xenoblade Chronicles, received a limited release in the West, and still ended up being one of the bestsellers at launch, Xenoblade Chronicles X’s own fate in the West remains unclear.  We know now that in spite of the visibility of the fan led Operation Rainfall campaign, NoA president Reggie Fils-Aime claims it had zero effect on their choices in localizing the game.

Whatever the case is, with Zelda Wii U and Star Fox Zero receiving delays, Xenoblade Chronicles X is one of the few anticipated Wii U exclusives this holiday. Expectations are high that Monolith Soft’s latest will step up and keep Wii U owners satisfied, amidst a sea of multiplatform games the Wii U is missing, including Star Wars Battlefront,Just Cause 3, and Fallout 4.

Are you looking forward to Xenoblade Chronicles X? What do you think Nintendo should feature on the site? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
