Arrowhead Game Studios took to their blog today to announce some good news for PC gamers. According to Arrowhead co-founder Malin Hedström, Helldivers for PC will be released in December via Steam. The release will include all three of the game’s free expansions, including the recent Helldivers: Democracy Strikes Back. PC users will be able to purchase additional DLC as well.
Johan Pilestedt, CEO of Arrowhead and the director of Helldivers was jubilant. “We are thrilled to be releasing Helldivers: Democracy Strikes Back on PC – our fourth game so far – and for the platform which we first started developing games on,” he wrote. “We have done our very best to ensure that the game will feel as good as possible when played on PC. With a wide range of graphic options, rebindable keys and an added text chat, we hope that we will meet the expectations which players have of a PC title.”
As previously reported, the newest expansion became available last month as a follow-up to last summer’s Masters of the Galaxy update. Democracy Strikes Back brought 20 new ranks to the game (raising the max to 50).
Prior to today’s announcement, Helldivers was only available for PS3, PS4, and PS Vita.
